Evangelos Kotsialos
Assistant Transport Planner
Birmingham
Evangelos Kotsialos joined Vectos Microsim in Birmingham as an Assistant Transport Planner in September 2021.
His interest in the field of Transport Planning/Modelling began when he did his research project in the final year of his MEng in Rural and Surveying Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). During his research he had the opportunity to deal with a variety of Transport tasks such as Transport Modelling, Traffic Simulation and Data Analysis with the aim to investigate the impact of mobile phone use in road network through microscopic traffic simulation. In 2021, Evangelos also completed his MSc in Transport and Business Management from Imperial College London and University College London (UCL).
Since Evangelos joined the Vectos Microsim Team, he has been involved in a variety of large Transport Projects for Local Authorities giving him the opportunity to leverage his skills in Transport Modelling including the development of models from scratch, model calibration and validation (using VISSIM), data collection and apply complex functions in MS Excel for data manipulation and presentation of model inputs and outputs.
Outside of work, Evangelos loves travelling and visiting exhibitions and museums.
