Laurie is our International Director based in Perugia. He is responsible for developing the international project portfolio and feeding international best practice into Vectos.
With a career spanning more than 40 years, he was one of the first leading social scientists in transport planning. Following doctoral research, he focused on government research, then research in academia at Oxford University, and finally over 25 years in consultancy.
He provides transport policy advice to governments and local and regional authorities, as well as transport operators and the private sector, in both the UK and across Europe. Laurie is currently the Honorary Professor of European Transport Policy at the University of Aberdeen and the Chair of the European CIVITAS Forum.
In the little spare time he has, he likes to spend it relaxing with his grandson and family and enjoying the Italian culture and climate.
