Project overview

Prince of Wales Drive is a development by St William Homes that will provide 955 new homes, with car parking at a ratio of 0.3 spaces per unit plus cycle parking, just moments from Battersea Park in London. It will also offer up to 5,700 sqm of flexible commercial and education and community uses.

The whole scheme is focused around new landscaped public gardens and a square which will bring into use railway arches alongside the site. The local community will also benefit from an enhanced environment for walking and cycling, and improvements to Battersea Park Rail Station.

Our Approach

We acted as transport consultant to St William Homes, providing input into the environmental assessment of the scheme and creating a transport assessment and travel plan for the scheme. We gave design input on the urban realm and access and movement within the site – on Prince of Wales Drive, with Battersea Park and Battersea Power Station and the surrounding public transport facilities.

We liaised closely with both the London Borough of Wandsworth and TfL to achieve a successful planning application.
