Project overview
Alderley Park’s Mereside Life Science Campus is the UK’s largest single site life sciences campus. We were appointed to consult on the expansion project, which provided 43,921 sq m of R&D facilities as well as 275 residential units, a 100-bed hotel, a 33,300 sq m sports centre and leisure facilities.
Our approach
We provided strategic transport planning guidance to progress the development through planning, including masterplanning, transport assessment and travel plans, including a car park management strategy.
We negotiated transport matters to a successful conclusion to facilitate planning consent, which was received in February 2016. This included extensive public consultation and presentations to key stakeholders to engender support.
