Project overview

Vectos was engaged by A2Dominion to provide transport services for this 283-home development in Ealing. Just minutes from the train station, it would enhance the existing residential quarter of Hanwell and provide a new village square with shops, cafés and restaurants. Affordable housing was a key part of the scheme, making up 35% of the total apartments and 37.6% of the total area of the development.

Our Approach

We worked closely with the project team and Ealing Borough Council to limit the traffic impacts of the scheme, rationalise the existing access points and improve the public realm on Boston Road. We were able to demonstrate that due to the existing site use, there would be an overall reduction in car trips to the site and car parking was provided at an appropriate level, reflecting the good public transport accessibility of the site.

We produced a transport statement, travel plan, delivery and servicing management plan and a construction traffic management plan to support the planning application.
