Project overview
Goodman asked Vectos for strategic transport consultancy to support a planning application for two large B8 Warehousing and Distribution sheds close to the M1 Junction 15.
Despite a busy local highway network, we were able to negotiate with both the Highways Agency and Northamptonshire County Council to reach an agreed highway solution with only minor highways works.
Our approach
Central to our approach was the presentation of a case based on former planning approvals and a sustainable transport strategy, which would provide wider benefit to the local community.
The improvement included a new bus service for shift workers to link the site to the town centre and new bus shelters offering employees an alternative journey by public transport at off peak times.
