Project overview
Vectos was lead consultant in the development of the highway infrastructure required for Harlow Science Park.
Our work spanned the entire project from initial concept and masterplanning, to detailed design and technical approval via Essex Highways, to providing construction support, on-site monitoring and project management of delivery.
Our approach
We gave advice during the masterplanning phase, working closely with the architect, landscape architect and client. This involved producing the drainage strategy for the site and developing the layout of the road hierarchy.
Following the planning stage, we created the detailed design of the highway and drainage for both the S278 accesses and the onsite spine road system.
We secured approval from all the relevant authorities for construction of the works, and supported in their delivery. Regular visits to site and collaboration with the contractor and contract administration team to overcome site constraints meant the works were delivered to programme.
