Vectos supports Pedal 4 Parks documentary

Vectos is thrilled to be supporting the Pedal 4 Parks cycling eco-adventure to film the “14 Days South: Over Land and Sea” documentary. During the 1000-mile journey, the expedition team will explore how human interference is impacting green spaces and what this means for our future in terms of the environment, as well as our mental and physical heath.

As a company we cannot think of a cause that more closely aligns with our business: getting on a bike and exploring how we can all work together to regenerate our greenspaces and create more sustainable and healthy communities.

Vectos Director Mike Axon will join the team for a short stint to be interviewed on the importance of reimagining communities, developing sustainably and prioritising active travel. He will discuss how reducing emissions and improving health can start very simply with classic mobility: two wheels and two feet.

The Pedal 4 Parks team will be tackling the iconic Lands’ End to John O’Groats route, riding on self-built bamboo bikes as a self-supported bike-packing and camping journey. They are pushing the limits even further by attempting a world-first. They will be extending the route from the tall, sandstone cliffs of the Orkney Islands all the way down to Scilly Isles off the southern tip of Cornwall, with the journey across the sea undertaken by water bikes.

The documentary will be a stark reminder that the climate emergency can no longer be ignored, and that it is an issue for which we all have a role in addressing. We’re excited to be able to contribute, in some small part, to this documentary that will not just shed light on these huge issues, but will also help to connect people and organisations who have the power to enact the change that is so desperately needed.

If you’d like to get involved, please contact us at [email protected]. Whether it be to join as a sponsor, a financial contribution of any size to help make the documentary a success, connections to get the message out and to effect change or simply moral support for the team along the journey, there is sure to be a way you can help and become a part of this amazing documentary.
