François Chaté

Associate Director

Bristol

François is an Associate Director in the Bristol office, with more than 22 years’ experience in the field of transport planning, working on a wide variety of transport studies. Throughout his career, François has mainly been involved in private development work, working on large strategic developments in the Kent Thameside area, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire, and the South West of England. His experience covers a wide range of land uses and schemes, from purely residential or commercial developments to mixed-use ones.

François’ focus is on delivering sound transport planning advice to clients, advice that helps inform and shape a wider planning strategy for the project. The integration of transport planning and planning strategy not only achieves better developments, but also helps secure a more effective path through the planning system. François is a keen promoter of new approaches to transport assessments, recognising the need for the planning process to deliver communities focused on people rather than the private car.

Outside of work, François is a keen cyclist, a past-time that allows him to discover the fantastic British countryside and its rich history.
